About

I’m an Associate Professor at Boston University’s philosophy department. I got my PhD from Harvard, and before that I was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago.

My current work focuses on Aristotle’s epistemological writings, and in particular on the role perception plays in his account of our cognitive development. I recently wrote a book on the topic. More broadly, I’m interested in Ancient accounts of the mind, their metaphysical underpinnings, and their impact on debates concerning the nature and extent of human knowledge.

In my spare time, I enjoy working on my jump shot.
